Fe Oxidizing Bacteria. Iron bacteria are widespread in iron-bearing freshwater, aerobic, neutrophilic environments. Because it can oxidize ferrous hydroxide dissolved in water, iron carbonate is deposited as high iron, which plays the role of concentrating and accumulating iron in the environment, and may be a participant in the formation of natural limonite. In addition, such bacteria can also grow and multiply in water supply pipelines, factory circulating cooling devices, underground water pumps, and pressure suction pipes of hydropower stations, forming rust layers or rust, which not only pollute the water quality, but also increase the resistance of water flow, block pipelines, and even promote the production of oxygen. Poor battery corrosion, resulting in partial perforation of the pipe, resulting in economic losses.
