Novel coronavirus
Novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) or SARS-COV-2, officially named "coronavirus disease 2019" (COVID-19) by the World Health Organization, is a respiratory infection caused by a new virus first identified in late 2019.
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses known to cause colds and more serious diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The new coronavirus is a new strain of coronavirus that has never been found in humans before.
Common signs of people infected with coronavirus include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing. In more severe cases, the infection can lead to pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death. There is no specific treatment for the disease caused by the new coronavirus. However, many symptoms are manageable and therefore need to be treated according to the patient's clinical situation. In addition, complementary care for infected individuals can be very effective. Self-protection includes: maintaining basic hand and respiratory hygiene, adhering to safe eating habits, etc.
