The soluble growth-stimulated expression gene 2 protein (ST2), a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family, is available in both trans-model (ST2L) and soluble (sST2) forms. sST2L binds to the functional ligand IL-33 and has a protective effect on the heart, while elevated levels of sST2 in the blood can competitively bind IL-33 and block the IL-33/ST2L signaling pathway, thereby attenuating the systemic biological effects of IL-33. Thus, the systemic biological effects of IL-33 are diminished. Therefore, the presence of excessive sST2 may leave the myocardium without adequate protection against injury, leading to myocardial remodeling and dysfunction.

1) Linear Range: For the ST2 test kit; R2=0.9999≥0.99 in the range of 0.5–400 ng/mL.
2) Clinical Correlation: Comparison with Critical Diagnostics for clinical correlation, R2 > 0.96.
3) Minimum Detection Limit: The minimum detection limit of ST2 was calculated to be 0.000489 ng/mL ≤ 0.1 ng/mL.
4) Repeatability: The reproducibility CV of samples with different concentrations of ST2 was ≤ 8%.
5) Precision: The accuracy deviation of ST2 is within ±15%.
